WHO IS ANDREW BOSEMAN

At a glimpse...

Born and raised in the suburbs of Southern Maryland, I have always been keen to my surroundings and questioned everything that I came in contact with. Growing up, problem-solving was of great interests to me because of the deep thought and strategy needed to come up with a solution. From physical puzzles to strategy-based video games, I always looked to find a way to engage in strategic problem-solving, and it was that initial exposure that drove me to develop my future career interests.

Professional Interests

Graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Communication and Business from Cornell University's College of Agriculture & Life Sciences I desire to enter the career fields of Marketing and Advertising on my path towards Brand Management.

What draws my interest in these career fields are their distinctive focus on the consumer and how to cater to their needs and expectations while also creating benefitial situation for the company/firm. . From a psychological perspective, as a consumer, needs and expectations are driven from both internal and external environments. It is up to the consumer to challenge the producers in the world to create products and services for consumption that satisfy their needs. From the corporate perspective, it is up to them to look at these desires spelled out by its' consumers and determine what is the best and most effective way to address their concerns while maximizing the benefit for the corporation. It is the intersection between the two that has drvien my interest to the field of Branding.

Personal Interests

As a former member of the Cornell Big Red Football Team and a trained Tenor Saxophonist, both sports and music have been immensely influential in my life. My undergraduate experiences has also allowed me to develop interests in public speaking and community service.  Although these hobbies have greatly shaped who I am, it is my passion for mentorship that defines me the most. Being able to provide guidance and insight to those around me whether it be social, academic, or professional has shown to be of great benefit not only for me in my life, but also for those who I have mentored.   In the words of Sir Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."
